We went to Colliseum at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman the other day. My gf told me that the food here taste good. So was really wonder if it's true.
This restaurant has been in business since 1921 ( as what they claimed). So to be able to maintain their restaurant up till present, it make me wonder what is their secret.
Walking in to their restaurant, i can feel how classic this restaurant is. The ambience, the way they arrange all their table are all classic. But sadly, they can't keep up with their local worker, so getting a bangladesh worker that has less experience are quite a sad case.
Usually when going to restaurant like this, first thing i would try is their steaks. So what i order is a T-bone steak. There are choices of non sizzling and sizzling. To me, what is important is the way they cook it. So i just choose the non sizzling since i don't want the smell to be all over my shirt that i wore that day. :)
The t-bone was ok. But sadly, the steak knife is not. It's soo dull until i almost make my T-bone fly. Guess they need to change their steak knife or else it will be very dissapointing to eat a good food with a bad knife. The sauce was ok. Their fries is also good. No complaint on the plate.
My gf choose the Nasi goreng. She said it's delicious. From the picture it does :).
I also choose Fried Bean Curd. They amount is large and their sauce is just nice to dip with the beancurd. Just make my day.
Do come if you guys are around Jalan Tar. Worth to try their dishes and maybe at the same time feel how it is to eat in a classic restaurant :)
