Jake's Charboil Steakhouse@Starhill gallery

My first experience with Jake's is when my gf treat me for my birthday. I'm a meat lover, so anything that associates with red meat i will definitely eat it.  Speaking of which, this restaurant is located DEEP DOWN starhill gallery. Going there was like a maze for the first-timer like me whom had not step into starhill for donkey years. Come on lah, who wanna come here when the price are all very expensive. BUT of course, sometimes having a good food with good ambience, we don't mind paying as long as food is GOOD lah. Right or not?

So when u step in to Jake's, u can feel a little bit like a cowboy style hut. I'm not sure whether this is their style or something, but being a typical malaysian, entering this "hut" feels like going into a dark alley cowboy rundown style hut. It's quite dark and the decoration are really westernized with all sorts Western Cowboy style. Oh well, who cares cause what is important is the food and the service. So the menu is pretty much the same everywhere. The Chef which i can take a peek from their main kitchen is very senior. So what i hope is that the food is good so that i can at least recommend this to anyone who is hungry and love meat~!





Australian Grain Fed T-Bone Steak

So from the menu, i pick myself Australian Grain Fed T-Bone Steak. Now i'm very particular about how a steak is done. When i say well done, what i wish for is No pink or reddish is found in the T-bone. But Sadly, that doesn't happen. And also with the price and the sort of decoration of food i got was kinda sad. It's like you grill the meat, u slam it down on the plate, u put some vegetable and Bang...u charge it like skyrocket high. Well, maybe this restaurant cater for foreigner with big pocket, but they also deserve a good fair malaysian price,right? Oh well,whatever~!

And this is what my gf ordered. I'm not very sure what is dish called but, yea... it's much better than mine which is a sad case.

I don't write like those other food blogs as i'm not a Food blogger whereby i will compliment and trying to express how it taste like and such. Mine is simple, i will use either sucks, good, sweet, etc....words which my readers don't have to imagine it so much. So for this restaurant, the food is OK, but the decoration sucks. Also they need to ensure when customer ask for Well done, it must be well-cooked. And watch out for the price too. Even THE SHIP give better price in their menu.

This restaurant are recommended if you are deep pocketed and don't have other choice. I might come again for the sake of trying other dishes, so hopefully when that day come, there better be improvement else i will put it my this years Pricey restaurant list .
